Kara Davis is senior director for the office of the CIO at the Urban Institute, where she brings agile practices and user-centered design principles to her work. Davis has more than 20 years of experience working with nonprofit and social change clients in Washington, DC, previously working in her own consulting practice, Loop Strategies LLC; as a web designer and information architect at PBS; as a project manager at Viget Labs; and in the publications department of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. She earned her MS in strategic leadership toward sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden in 2010 before returning to DC to pursue work in community building and urban sustainability.
