Katherine Attridge
Senior Director, Employee and Labor Relations

As the Urban Institute’s senior director for employee and labor relations, Kate Attridge is responsible for building Urban’s infrastructure to assist with employment- and labor-related matters and working with Urban’s employee union to advance an even more inclusive, equitable, and effective workplace.

Before joining Urban, Kate spent over 10 years at the United States Postal Service, most recently as its vice president of labor relations. She designed and implemented labor relations strategies and programs for an organization of over 600,000 employees, oversaw the US Postal Service’s Equal Employment Opportunity Program, and served as the chief negotiator of the US Postal Service’s collective bargaining agreements. She previously served as the US Postal Service’s manager of collective bargaining and arbitration and its chief counsel for labor law.

Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from American University and a juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
