Join the Urban Institute for a conversation about how cities are integrating racial equity into their efforts to become more resilient. Urban just released the final outcome evaluation for 100 Resilient Cities, the largest global program aimed to institutionalize resilience in city planning and operations. This conversation will touch on lessons learned from the evaluation, including how cities are fostering meaningful community engagement and supporting vulnerable communities as they prepare for a multitude of shocks and stressors, climate related or otherwise. In addition, we will lift up the opportunities and challenges city leaders and resilience practitioners in Miami-Dade County and Boston have faced in centering racial equity across city departments, plans, policies, and practices to advance resilience.
